The Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre is a museum, library, gallery and archival institution founded in 1944 in Winnipeg, Canada. The Centre collects, researches, and presents collections that reflect the history and culture of Ukrainian diaspora, particularly the Ukrainian-Canadian community in Canada.
The archival fund of the Centre is the richest Ukrainian document collection in North America. It consists of the archives of prominent public and cultural figures such as Oleksandr Koshyts, Pavlo Matsenko, Myron Fedoriv, Ivan Bobersky, Walter Klymkiw, and others.
Oseredok holds the biggest collection of pysanka (4.5 thousand) outside of Ukraine, as well as a significant collection of Displaced Persons Camps (1945-1955) publications and works of art.
Oseredok is the first Ukrainian heritage institution in North America to offer a detailed Online Catalog of its collections.
The art collection of the archive includes over 900 works of art. These are paintings, drawings, and sculptures by Ukrainian, Ukrainian-Canadian, and Ukrainian-American artists. The art collections include works by Jacques Hnizdovsky, Myron Levytsky, Oleksandr Archipenko, Vasyl (William) Kurylyk, Leo Mol, Yakiv (Jacob) Maidanyk, Petro Shostak, Ivan Trush, Oleksa Novakivsky and others.
