The Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine

The Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine is an archival institution that stores documents and materials reflecting the history of Ukrainian culture and art. 

With the restoration of Ukraine’s state independence, the Archives Museum began to acquire documents and materials of Ukrainian emigrants and diaspora figures. Among the personal collections, the most noteworthy are those of Vasyl Avramenko, Ivan Bahriany, Vasyl Barka, Mykola Butovych, Volodymyr Vynnychenko, Vira Vovk, Yevhen Malaniuk, Liudmyla Morozova, Dmytro Nytchenko, Ivan Ohienko, Myroslav Radysh, Nadiya Svitlychna, Yar Slavutych, Maria Sokil-Rudnytska, Hanna Cherin, and others. 

There are also documents describing the activities of  Democratic Association of Formerly Repressed Ukrainians by the Soviets, Ukrainian Association of Victims of Russian Communist Terror and other diaspora organizations. The museum’s collection includes memorabilia of writers Ivan Bahriany and Oleksandr Oles. The library houses books and periodicals published by the Ukrainian community abroad.
