Museum benefactors
"Museum benefactors" is a free association of museum supporters worldwide. Established on the initiative of the museum's director, Oksana Pidsukha, in 2015, the association aims to support the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora and ensure the sustainable development of all its activities.

The Kyiv city budget funds the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora but only covers basic needs like payroll and utilities. The institution finances its exhibitions, educational programs, publications, and other museum projects through donations from individual patrons, grants and support of International Charitable Foundation of World Ukrainians “Diaspora”.
Kateryna Krychevska-Rosandich (1926-2021), a prominent Ukrainian and American artist representing the famous Krychevsky artistic dynasty, became the museum’s first benefactor. In the last years of her life, Kateryna Krychevska-Rosandich constantly supported the institution. The collection of works and archival materials of Vasyl, Vasyl Jr., Mykola Krychevsky, and her own was an invaluable contribution to the museum’s funds.

In 2021, Museum benefactors supported the creation of a renewed exposition at the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora. The co-founder of the International Charitable Foundation of Ukrainians worldwide "Diaspora,” Victor Kapustin (Ukraine), and the Daar Charitable Foundation, represented by Michael and Natasha Bleyzer (USA), provided significant assistance in the process of creating the exposition. The Bleyzer family also financially supported publishing the "Mykola Krychevsky. Artist and Time" edition created by the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora team in 2019.

In 2019, with the financial support of the family of Markiyan Paslawsky (USA), the museum team created the exhibition "New York – Ilovaisk: A Choice" dedicated to the hero of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Markiyan Paslawsky (in a cooperation with National museum of the Revolution of Dignity). After completing the exhibition, the museum acquired and added the exhibits to its collection.

The Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora continues its active work even during a full-scale war, so we invite benefactors, collectors, and connoisseurs of Ukrainian history and culture to join the community of museum benefactors and support the institution's activities. The Museum and the International Charitable Foundation of Ukrainians worldwide “Diaspora” undertake to report to the benefactors for the funds received.
Together, we will preserve Ukrainian diaspora history and cultural heritage!
