The Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora opens a solo exhibition of tapestries by artist Olha Piliuhina entitled “Meta”.
The exhibition at the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora will feature both well-known works by Olha Piliuhina and tapestries that will be exhibited for the first time. The new subjects, colors, shapes, lines and textures demonstrate the evolution of the artist’s creative style and her desire to achieve a higher level of understanding of the world through art, combining traditional and contemporary cultural contexts. The images of the tree of life, birds and flowers, which are often found in the artist’s works, symbolize the movement towards harmony, development and spiritual growth.
The plots of Olga Pilyugina’s tapestries reflect the author’s reflections on the meaning of life, the connection between human beings and nature, and their spiritual aspirations. Visitors to the exhibition will be immersed in the world of the artist’s symbolism and aesthetics, where each work reveals new aspects of the artist’s philosophical and artistic search, inviting the viewer to deeply understand their place in the world, search for personal purpose, reflect on their own goals and meaning of existence.
