Agapius Honcharenko was a church, public figure, publicist, publisher and Ukrainian Orthodox priest in the United States.

Oleksandr Ohloblyn was a Ukrainian historian, archivist, public figure, founder of scientific genealogy in Ukraine, president of The Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences  in the United States; a representative of the third (political) wave of emigration.  He lived and worked in the Czech Republic, Germany, and the United States.

George Shevelov (pseudonyms: Yurii Sherekh, Hryhory Shevchuk, and others) was a Ukrainian Slavic scholar, linguist, literary critic, cultural studies expert, publicist, President of  The Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences  in the United States; a representative of the third (political) wave of emigration.

Paul Francis Wynnyk is a Canadian military officer of Ukrainian descent, statesman, lieutenant general, vice chief of the Canadian Defence Staff, Commander of the Canadian Army, and Commander of the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command.

Samuel Jaskilka was a four-star general, deputy commander of the U.S. Marine Corps (1975-1978), and a participant in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Filip Konowal was a Ukrainian-Canadian soldier, the only Ukrainian to be awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest military honor in the United Kingdom.

Dokiya Humenna was a Ukrainian émigré writer whose literary heritage includes more than 30 volumes. Among them are several works about the Ukrainian diaspora.

Ivan Bahriany (real name Lazoviahin) was a Ukrainian writer, publicist, social and political activist, the founder of "camp prose" in Ukrainian literature, one of the founders of the Ukrainian Revolutionary Democratic Party (URDP), Vice President of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UPR) in exile, and a representative of the third (political) wave of emigration.

Vasyl Barka was a writer, literary critic, translator, and author of one of the first and most famous works about the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, “Zhovtyi kniaz” (The Yellow Prince). He was the first winner of the Antonovych Foundation Award (1981).
