Sviatoslav Karavansky was a Ukrainian linguist, translator, public and political figure, dissident, member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, and a long-term prisoner of Soviet camps; he lived and worked in the United States.

Lesia Khraplyva-Shchur is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, Plast activist and educator in the diaspora.

Helena Kolody was a Ukrainian-Brazilian poet and translator, author of several poetry collections, and a promoter of Ukrainian culture in Brazil.

Isydora Kosach-Borysova was a Ukrainian memoirist, teacher, translator, cultural activist, and agronomist. She was a corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences (UVAN) and an honorary member of the Ukrainian Women's Association of America—daughter of Olena Pchilka and younger sister of Lesia Ukrainka.

Yurii Lavrinenko was a Ukrainian literary scholar and researcher of the “Executed Renaissance.”

Oksana Liaturynska was a writer, pysanka artist, sculptor, and representative of the Prague school.

Michael Luchkovich was the first ethnic Ukrainian in the federal Parliament of Canada, a member of the House of Commons from 1926 to 1935,  an educator, writer, translator, and public figure.

Viacheslav Lypynsky was a Ukrainian historian, publicist, politician, and public figure. He founded the statehood trend in Ukrainian historiography and the Ukrainian monarchist movement, created a theoretical background of Ukrainian conservatism, was the Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria-Hungary, and represented the second wave of emigration. He lived and worked in Austria and Germany.

Vera Lysenko was a Canadian English-language writer of Ukrainian descent. Her real last name is Lesyk, but she wrote her works under the pseudonym Vera Lysenko.
