The Virtual Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora

Is an educational and research web platform created to publish the digitized collection of the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora and its partners, disseminate knowledge about the history and cultural heritage of global Ukrainians, the activities of Ukrainian institutions around the world and prominent personalities of Ukrainian origin, publish scientific and educational materials on diaspora issues, and inform about events and news in the global Ukrainian world.

Is to preserve the history and culture of global Ukrainians, strengthen national identity, unite Ukrainians around the world, and enhance Ukraine's positive international image.

The founders of the Virtual Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora

Are the Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the International Charitable Foundation of Ukrainians Worldwide "Diaspora." Partners: Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center “Oseredok” (Winnipeg, Canada), National Ukrainian Museum of Chicago (USA), Ukrainian Free Academy of Sciences (New York, USA). The circle of partners will include other institutions and individuals.

The Virtual Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora is a collection of exhibits

From the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora and other partner institutions and individuals. It aims to showcase the history and cultural heritage of Ukrainians worldwide, including items stored in diaspora institutions and reflect the history and culture of Ukraine itself.

The exhibits in the collection are organized by their type. Additionally, there are separate sections dedicated to particular themes or memorials. Some of these include the last President of the Ukrainian People’s Republic in exile, Mykola Plavyuk, the conductor and composer Oleksandr Koshyts, the Krychevsky artistic dynasty, Ukrainians in Canada, and Ukrainians in Australia.

The "Names" section

Showcases individuals who left a significant mark in various fields of activity and belong to the three waves of emigration from Ukraine. The selection is based on available funds and also aims to bring back almost forgotten natives of Ukraine into the context of Ukrainian history and culture.
